Beth Moore’s Scripture Memory Team – Free iPhone Wallpaper.
Every year, Beth Moore and her team at LPM start a scripture memory team to memorize 24 verses through out the year. Some years, they even host a gathering for all the team members who have participated. Read the blog for all the details, and definitely join us! I haven’t yet been able to go, but I am praying January 2014 is the year I get to. Last year, the event fell on my sweet Miss H’s 10th birthday, and I couldn’t possibly dream of leaving her.
All that said, the wonderful ladies at LPM created a spiral notebook so that you can write your 1st, and 15th of the month memory verses. I still have yet to get mine, so I’m using just a plain one for now. How boring.. I know. But it works.
I try to remember to take my spiral with me to keep the verses fresh.
But.. I forget most of the time. Enter a novel idea. I was inspired by all the pinterest-ed “printable for your house” verses that pop up everywhere, and I thought.. Why don’t I create something similar for my iPhone lock screen. That way, my verse of the month is right in front of my face whenever I need it.
Brilliant, right? I know I’m not the first person to think of it, but when I googled the idea.. most of the verses were on boring backgrounds, and we.just.can’t.have.that!
As a family, because we are watching this series for our family devos, we have decided to memorize Psalm 90:12 together. I don’t need to tell you to watch it, right? Good stuff at your fingertips, friend!
Part of my accountability in this adventure will be to post my verses every two weeks. I am a good starter.. not so great at finishing.. anything.. hopefully this will help me press on. One can only hope. That “one” probably being my husband. Who is a great starter and finisher. And he gets done what he sets his mind to do.
I wonder what that is like? 😉
