A few weeks back, my hubs and I drove up to Ventura for a headshot session. We used to live up there, years ago, when our babies were small, and our dreams were big. We had a 6 hour round trip, so we had a lot of time to talk and laugh. And, at one point, I believe I got pissy with my husband because he made some mean statement about girls.. and well..umm… I’M A GIRL!!
But I digress.. We also had moments of unintended silence as we waded through our memories on the good ol’ Highway 101. We did not miss the crazy traffic on the 405, nor the smell of manure as we drove by the Camarillo strawberry fields. We missed our home group that used to meet in our house, and the bagel shop that we would frequent on our trips down to San Diego. I missed my sweet chubby babies that grew into elementary school children before I was ready. Life.. it hurts so good. 🙂
Here are a few quick peeks at my favorites of the day. These beautiful women are starting a ministry called Firelight (I will post the link when their site is live) and I had the privilege of capturing their beautiful faces. God is going to do huge things through this group of sisters.. I know it.
