Just a quick peek into what I’m editing today. Babies are divine.
And, for all my fellow photogs out there.. I simply purchased a pair of sheer white panels from Ikea, at a whopping $4.99, and I use these to wrap babies in a cocoon all the time. Typically, I will use a white blanket underneath the beeb, with the white sheers because it makes the newborn babies look angelic, in a modern way.
Which means.. without the cheesy angel wings from the 90’s. I have permission to say this… because I have a picture of my sweet little 7 month old in those very wings.
I start by getting the baby comfy on their back, and then I wrap, beginning at their tummy because that is the easiest place to hide the edge of the sheer. I pull it firmly as I go along, tucking the bulky sections underneath the baby. I also move their hands and feet into position while wrapping. This is an simple way to get a custom newborn pose, and it’s $4.99, y’all!
Happy Wrapping.
