San Diego Baby Photographer – Uriah Turns 1.
Uriah. Oh Uriah. He showed up all darling in a brown sweater vest, and warm chocolate eyes. This may not be much of a secret if you truly know me.. But, I want to keep all the kiddos I get to make portraits for. I find each and every one of them delightful. This little dude is even harder to resist since his momma is so dear to me. Thankfully, that means I get to see him quite often, and watch him grow. His brother has the world’s best dimples, but I’ll save those for another post. I don’t think you will be able to handle two utterly captivating boys. So.. we’ll just stick to the 1 year old for today. 😉
This dude gave me quite the stink eye until we whipped out the organic lollies. Of course we watched to make sure he was not biting down on the hard candy, but the treat helped him get excited about Miss Sarah’s pictures! 😉 Or, that’s what I was telling myself.
Beginner Photographers – Always, always, always have a treat on hand for your little clients. Whether it be stickers, a toy box they get to pick from, or a sweet treat, it helps them stay motivated to cooperate! I can’t tell you how many times I have had a momma tell me that their child remembers the “fun” photo session because of the treat. Hey.. I’ll take it! I choose to bring organic, fruit juice sweetened lollipops, with nothing artificial added. And, I’m sure I don’t have to mention this, but I will anyway.. always ask Momma before anything is offered to your little client. She’s the boss. Forever. The end.
Take a peek below at a few of my favorite images from his 1 year session. Keywords for these kind of sessions are.. 20 minutes. Lollipops. Lots of singing and clapping. Snuggles. And wrapping it up when the 1 year old has had enough. Would I rather have a happy kid/less frazzled mom and a few less images, or a frazzled mom/unhappy kid and a handful more images? I go with the happy kid every time. 🙂
