San Diego Baby Photographer – Stylized 1st Year Session
This kid. He has my heart. I get to see him every week at church, so that is awesome. His momma is a fantastic hair stylist, and styles my children’s hair with skill. It’s safe to say this family is well loved by the Tolson’s.
What I loved about this session? Besides the subject? The killer outfits his momma styled for Jackson Danger to wear! We had dance parties in bow ties and berets, cake, and fun in the sun.
Photographer Tip! These were taken at 11am with little shade. What I did was position Jackson in the shade I could find, with his gorgeous blue eyes facing the light. I wanted catchlights in his eyes, and minimal shadows on his face. For his last few standing images, I positioned him in partial shade, knowing I would have to clone out a blown sun streak in the background. It is not ideal to do that, but the way I prevent it from ruining the picture is to make sure that sun streak isn’t cutting into his/the subjects body line. That way, when I clone, I’m just cloning blurry background, and it is easy to blend. If it had cut into his body line, cloning would have made a mess around his outfit.
I try to prevent needing a retoucher for my images, but if it does happen, I go right to Retouchup.com. They are fantastic, quick, and do a great job retouching background issues, and the like.
