Let’s Talk Liquid Matte Lips – they are quite the rage these days, and I am here for it. But only sometimes. 😉

Because this momma is not 20 something anymore, and my lips just can’t hang with a drying, clay based lip color. I used to LOOOOOVE, I mean L.O.V.E Wet N Wild Megalast Matte Lipsticks.. my lips never did. I would wear a color one day, and then have to take the next few days to help them recover. And now that I know most of their colors are not lead free, and all “stick style” lip colors have wax to keep moisture out.. it makes sense the way my lips would react.
LipSense does have some matte shades, and a matte balm with a cult following, ahem, the newest release Girlfriend or Bella… however, I wanted to see if I could recreate a monochromatic peachy nude look from one product. Monochrome makeup looks are IN, but usually, you have to color match a separate shadow, blush, and lip. Not anymore!!
Enter ShadowSense in Pink Posey. This makes a great peachy pink neutral wash of color for your eyes. BUT.. it also can double as a creamy matte blush. AND, it triples as a liquid lip. It’s just one of those products that I think should be in everyone’s makeup bag because it is so versatile, has great blendability, works to fight the signs of aging while you wear it, and is non-toxic… I mean.. what??
I filmed a few quick little snaps for you to watch the process and see just how easy this stuff is to use. I am no makeup guru, but Pink Posey gives me a great cohesive fresh peachy pink look in a few minutes, and makes me look like I know what I’m doing! For those wondering, it is not sticky, dries down completely matte, and is pretty long lasting. It’s not going to do exactly what LipSense does, but it is one of the best creamy matte colors that I have found.. and I’ve tried many, many, many. 😉
Side Note: Mulberry is a great color too.. but just runs a touch too pale for me, and as I explain in the video, makes me look a little corpse like.
As always, hit me up if you have any questions, or need to snag yourself one of these tubes of peachy goodness. 🙂
