I used to hate shooting in parks. Hate it. The green color cast from the grass always throws my editing off! I started avoiding shooting at grass filled spots as much as I could.
But then, I had to take a white blanket for a baby shoot, and when I got home to edit.. I realized the white blanket solved a majority of my color cast issues. You would have thought I would have figured this out long ago, but alas… it always takes me a while. π
This white blanket is my hero.
For now.
It was $18 at Target. It is washable and it is huge!! I bought the king size. I haven’t regretted it since. π I have used it for a boudoir session to cover the patterned bedspread. I have used it for a park shoot where the grass was wet. I have used it to bounce light into my client’s eye when the day was grey and overcast. I even used it table top for a newborn session.. covered the whole table! As I said.. my hero.
Here are a few recents of Mr. B. He is a love, but so very serious. It wasn’t until the end of his session that I got a smile and a snuggle.
Um.. go get yourself a white blanket people!
