I’ve had the honor to do this beautiful woman’s makeup for her annual 29:11 Maternity Home fundraiser gala for 2 years now. Side note: if you haven’t heard of what this organization is about, please go check them out!!
We aimed to complement her dress colors within her makeup, without being too matchy matchy. And Beckie also prefers a less made up face, so we didn’t go too heavy with any colors. I wanted her to feel like herself.
Her skin was prepped with a gentle exfoliation using SeneGence super gentle polishing cream, and then I moisturized and evened her skin with my HOLY GRAIL, Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer. Once that had set, I topped with Dewy Anti Aging Foundation, just in the areas she wanted more coverage and buffed that out to an airbrushed finish. I used Candlelight, just a dot, blended out under her eyes. I also topped with a light dusting of Natural Translucid Powder to help mattify everything.
This year, we did a baby smokey eye look. I applied a base of Candlelight all over the lid, and then gently pressed Sandstone Pearl Shimmer on top to maximize the sparkle and make her eyes pop. I gave her some depth with Onyx ShadowSense blended into the base of her lashes, and swept into the crease and outer V. We opted to not do false lashes since she’s a more natural gal, and has amazing lashes anyway.
I used Silver Rose powder on her cheeks as an easy way to add some shimmer and rosy sparkle to her cheeks without doing a heavy contour.. which she didn’t want.
I used the tiniest bit of Onyx brushed into her brows for definition without going to heavy.
And then we topped the look with a perfect medium pop of pink, Sassy Z LipSense, and glossy.
And do note, one of the best perks about this long lasting line is that we were able to do her makeup at 2pm, for a 6pm Gala, and it stayed flawless from start to end. I made sure to ask her afterwards. 😉 Isn’t she STUNNING!!!
