… I was waking up on a chilly Friday morning, with a nervous smile, for that night I would marry the man I loved.
… I was driving my dad’s blue Toyota 4×4 to my hair appointment. It was a manual. Not the best idea for keeping a veil in place.
… I was stopping by Yogurt Mill for “lunch”, with my hair in an updo and veil on. I loved it.
… I was suprised, back at home, by 2 dozen lavendar roses and a love note from my husband to be.
… I was having a small panic attack because Todd was supposed to be at the church at 4pm for pictures. He had dropped our luggage off at the hotel and was stuck in Friday night traffic on the 8 East coming back. Yay. 🙂 It all worked out.
… I was waiting with my Dad, behind closed doors, with my lacey white dress and pearly white pedicure, and he was saying all the things a daughter wants to hear from her dad. Right before I was to be given away. This produced a boat load of tears. 🙂
… I was looking at my man through tear blurred eyes, saying I do, praying, first kiss-ing, celebrating with the Hallelujah chorus. For real.. our recessional was the Hallelujah chorus.
… I was smiling at my HUSBAND!!! in our white limo as we pulled through the Arby’s drive through. We were hungry yo, and nope.. they didn’t even give us a deal. We had to pay a full 5 dollars for our 5 roast beef sandwiches. Whatevs..
… I had no idea what love really meant, and only by the goodness of God has He taught me oh so gently, oh so painfully, and oh so miraculously through the years.
13 years later, I would say yes, and go through it all again. I love you Todd Tolson II. I am glad to be your wife.
